Choosing Wrong Shoes Can Make You Sick!

How to take care of the feet
Feet are the parts of the body that carry the burden of our structure throughout the life period. Without feet, we are paralyzed and cannot move anywhere. In spite of the fact, this most important part of the body is the most neglected. No one ever thought of foot care. Attention to the feet is made only when the feet are disturbed. But the fact is that our feet, like the body and the face, also require care.
John Foote, an orthopedic surgeon at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston says, “Most foot problems are due to the wrong footwear choice. Especially wearing tight shoes not only causes leg cramps, but also makes the feet and toes ugly and bulky”.
Font further says, “Footwear that is soft, comfortable and wide, keeps the feet save from many diseases”.
The wrong selection of shoes can be avoided if some precautions are taken during shoes selection. Here is a brief list of all those measure, which should be kept in mind during the purchase of a shoes pair.

Foot Size with the Age

The size of the feet varies with age, so it is important to check the size of the pie at least once a year, not every time. About 66% of people have one leg larger than the other. Such people should buy shoe with big toes, use “Inserts” to lift the height and for balancing walk.

Best Time to Buy a Shoes

During the day's activities and walking, the feet are slightly swollen in the morning, which is not usually noticed. This is the best time to buy a shoe. In the evening your foot reaches its maximum size, shoes purchased at such times never feel tight and the legs are comfortable.

Keep the Size

You might find it silly to map your feet on a paper that accurately shows the length before leaving the house to buy shoes. When choosing shoes, measure the width of the shoe with the size you bring. If this width is less than your size, then choose another shoe whose width is equal to the width of your feet. This is because the width of the shoe varies with the width. Shoes of the same size can range from three inches to three and a half inches or four to five inches. Choose shoes that fit your width.

Check Fitting

When you select the shoe, stand after wearing the shoe to make sure that your toe is not hitting the shoe top. Remember that the gap between your toe and the shoe top must be equaling to thickness of a thumb.
This gap in high-heeled shoes should be taken into account as the load on the toes tends towards the toes.
After choosing a new shoe, take a walk through the shoes so you can know if the shoe is tight. Also, raise your toes so that you can see that your toes are not hitting the toes by walking.

Size of Pies

Washington, DC Podiatrist Arnold Yuk says the size of the pies grows as they grow older and can reach half the size of three. Reasons for increasing age include weight gain, pregnancy, etc. Coral Farley, director of the Manhattan Page's Orthopedic Fitness and Ankle Center, says that pregnant women get a lot of body weight due to increased secretions and blood volume during pregnancy. This excess can also have an effect on the feet and can increase the size of the feet by up to 25%. Coral feral states that females usually grow taller after pregnancy, with the size of the fett permanently increasing after the birth of three or four babies in some females.
In the feet, there is gap between the heels and the edges of the toes. It creates flexibility in the feet and acts as a spring. But as age increases, the depth of the arc begins to decrease and the pelvis begins to straighten, which in turn increases the width and length of the feet.
Noreen Oswell, a podiatrist at Cedars Sun Medical Center in Los Angeles says that size of the feet also affects when body weight starts to rise. They say that due to the weight gain of usually 20 pounds or more, the breakup of the feet starts in a short period of time, changing the size of the legs.
